This programme is a specialised online course developed by aviation professionals to enable cabin crew to gain recognition for on-the-job training and experience, and as a pathway to management, administration and leadership roles.

 

The programme forms part of a formal articulation pathway to a university degree with advanced standing.

 

Currently this programme is only open to past and current professional cabin and ground crew.

 

International cabin crew are eligible to apply for this online course and may choose to take the course online or use a student visa to take blended learning in Brisbane, Australia.

NOTE: This programme is a specialised online course currently only open to past and current professional cabin and ground crew.

ICAT’s Certificate III in Aviation – Cabin Crew programme is an innovative nationally recognised qualification specially designed by cabin crew for cabin crew to gain formal recognition for on-the-job training and as a pathway to business leadership and management roles. The course is combined with the Certificate III in Business Administration.

Learning material for knowledge units is delivered online by experienced aviation trainers and supported by business and management trainers. Requirements for practical criteria are met via Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL). RPL is validated through a journal style form that must be signed off by the aviation employer or supported via other evidence.

International cabin crew are eligible to apply for this online course.

 

Academic Pathways:

The Cert III Cabin Crew / Business Admin programme can be combined with our in-house online Diploma of Business Administration or Management & Leadership. Both these diplomas have guaranteed articulation pathways into Australian universities.

Requirements

Academic Criteria

  • Australian junior high school certificate with average or above results or equivalent.
  • Maths preferred
  • An active interest in aviation, supervision, administration or management
  • Well organised and self disciplined

English Language Criteria

All applicants, unless exempt, must present results from one of the following formal English assessments at the time of applying.

  • 6.0 IELTS (Academic) with no band score below 5.5
  • PTE Academic 57
  • TOEFL IBT 78
  • TOEFL CBT 210
  • TOEFL Paper 547
  • TOEIC 720
  • CASA Aviation English Assessment Level 4

Please note: You may be exempt from the English language criteria if you are a citizen of, or studied for more than 2 years in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Canada or the United States of America. Exemptions are assessed case by case.

 

English language packaged pathways are available for this course but a formal test result may still be required.
